I've always had protein shakes, so I thought I'd give this trial a go as I've never had a protein bar before (until now).
Packaging - just looks like another regular bar. However, I must say what really caught my eye about this particular packaging was the image of an ice cream on each bar. Personally, I think this is a bad idea. I understand that each ice cream represents a different flavour, however I believe there are other ways of presenting the flavours of the bars, such as displaying a block of chocolate and mint leaves for the flavour choc mint. I know this idea is very original, but the whole idea of a protein bar is to help people lose weight. But, by displaying the image of an ice cream may give people cravings of eating unhealthy food, which may cause them to not buy it instead making them purchase other food, and this strongly contradicts the weight loss objective.
The portion seems a little smaller than what I expected, but they really do fill you up after a few minutes. I enjoyed all the flavours, however I don't really like the fact that they get stuck to your teeth so easily and you have to get a toothpick or something to get them out.
After having them for a few days, I find them to be all right but I think I would prefer the shakes, because I think the bars don't control your hunger as much as the shakes and I would feel hungry after an hour or two of eating them.
